What’s New in Revu 20?

Revu® has had many significant updates to markups, Studio, and markups-list throughout the years. The release of Revu 2020 on August 18, 2020, was no exception. Thanks to customer feedback, Bluebeam® can meet the needs of its users and develop new tools to tailor to those needs. You can find a list of patch notes on their website here. Below, we’ll take a look at the major updates added to Revu 2020.

Revu 20

Studio

  • A new larger invitation screen greets us when first initiating a Studio Session/Project.
  • You can now view which Studio Projects/Sessions users are or aren’t a part of
    by viewing the “Joined” or “Not Joined” lists in Studio.

Markups

  • The text box markup can now quickly be converted into a call-out by right-clicking the markup and selecting Add Leader.

  • Improved auto-sizing functions for text markups are also available in the current Revu20.
  • Added the hexagon as a shape for a text box.

MArkups List

  • There has been an update to the filtering process. A new row appears for us to select multiple filters to apply to the markups list.

  • You can now save filters for future documents.
New Features
  • A new “Find Tools & Commands” feature lets you search for tools and commands throughout Revu to help you find what you’re looking for faster.

Revu 20.1

Studio

  • Assign another user’s markups. When a user is denied access to a Studio Session or has left the company, we now have the option to reassign markups so that their markups can be edited.

MArkups

  • Receive visual updates when a user replies to a markup. There is a reply icon that displays the reply text.
  • You can apply a markup to all pages or a specific page range.

Measurements

  • A new window displays at the bottom screen when applying a measurement markup. This window shows more information about what is being applied.

Revu 20.2

Measurements

  • A preset section when setting a scale. Some preset scales are already saved for you to take advantage of.
  • We can now have measurements on the document that is independent of the scale we set.

  • Studio users can now remain signed in until they choose to sign out.
