Team D3 Helps Drive Breast Cancer Awareness

A Team D3 Story Focusing on the Ways That We Choose to Give Back

DJI_0063

Breast cancer is a disease that affects millions of women and although rare, men, worldwide. It is estimated that one in eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime, making it the second most common cancer in women. At Team D3, we recognize the importance of raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research, which is why we are proud to be a Diamond Level sponsor for the Jeepin for a Cure Campaign.

The journey began in 2017 when Edmond McClure was tasked with raising $2,500 through a fundraising challenge from the American Cancer Society and the Men Wear Pink campaign. Edmond, Team D3’s Manager of Sales and Strategic Accounts, is an avid Jeeper, and chose to organize a Jeep Drive to raise the funds. The first Jeepin for a Cure event was put together in just two short months, consisted of 45 Jeeps, had one sponsor and exceeded the $2,500 goal by raising $2,600.

For those that are not familiar, Jeepin for a Cure is a group that plans Jeep events to raise money to help families battling breast cancer. Jeep enthusiasts from all over the country are invited to come together to drive their Jeeps in support of breast cancer awareness. (Even if you don’t own a Jeep, you are still invited and encouraged to join!) The events typically feature raffles, auctions, and other fundraising activities, with all proceeds going towards breast cancer research at The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks.

In 2017, Edmond thought this would be a one-time fundraiser, but 6 years later the Jeepin for a Cure team has grown and continues to raise the bar yearly. This campaign has become more than just a fundraiser – it’s become a celebration of life and hope. It’s an opportunity for our community to come together and show support for those fighting breast cancer and those who have lost their battle. It’s also a chance for us to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and the need for ongoing research to find a cure.

Team D3 is honored to have been involved in such a worthy cause for the past five years and we believe that it is important to support breast cancer research not only to find a cure but also to improve the quality of life for those who are currently fighting the disease. As a company, we’re committed to positively impacting our community, and supporting the Jeepin for a Cure campaign is just one way we do that. We’re honored to be able to contribute to this cause, and we look forward to continuing our involvement in the years to come.

We encourage all Jeep enthusiasts and supporters of breast cancer research to join us in this campaign. Whether you own a Jeep or simply want to support the cause, there are many ways to get involved. You can attend a Jeepin for a Cure event, make a donation to the cause, or even start your own fundraising campaign.

Save the date for our next event, October 14, 2023, in Ozark, MO. Our goal this year is to have 600 Jeeps at the event and raise over $125,000 all of which will be donated to The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks.
